Whew, now that’s a relief, isn’t it? As if losing Jillian Michaels on the new season of The Biggest Loser wasn’t hard enough, the last thing that fans wanted to see was Rob Kardashian on the show. Luckily for us, the new cast has been revealed and Kardashian is not on the list, but there are some former NFL players competing this season!
Facebook and Twitter fans have been anxiously awaiting the revelation of the season 16 cast of The Biggest Loser, and it’s finally here! Even luckier for us viewers is the fact that Rob Kardashian, who was rumored to be joining the show, has not been cast – at least for season 16, that is. Actually, there are no reality show crossovers at all this season, unlike Ruben Studdard last season, but we will see some former NFL players on the ranch.
Former New York Jets offensive lineman Damien Woody is hoping The Biggest Loser will help him get healthy. The 36-year-old, who also played for the New England Patriots and the Detroit Lions, will begin his journey at the ranch at 388 pounds. Scott Mitchell, a retired NFL quarterback, who played for the Miami Dolphins, the Detroit Lions, the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, has also been cast on the new season. Mitchell, now 46, will start his journey at 366 pounds.
Joining Woody and Mitchell on the new season are: Lori Harrigan-Mack (44), a three-time Olympic gold medal winner in softball, who now weighs 301 pounds; Jordan Alicandro (32), weighing in at 323 pounds; Rondalee Beardslee (28), weighing in at 280 pounds; Blake Benge (18), weighing in at 251 pounds; Howard “Woody” Carter (46), at almost 400 pounds; Zina Garrison (50), an Olympic medal winner in tennis, weighing in at 263 pounds; Rob Guiry (26), the biggest contestant this season at 483 pounds; Gina Haddon (41), weighing in at 241 pounds; Vanessa Johnson (32), weighing in at 366 pounds; Sonya Jones (39), weighing in at 283 pounds; Chandra Maple (26), weighing 341 pounds; Emmy Lou Munoz (32), weighing 260 pounds; Mike Murburg (58), the oldest contestant this season, weighing 399 pounds; John “JJ” O’Malley (22), weighing in at 392 pounds; and Jackie Pierson (36), weighing 291 pounds.
There also seems to be a lot of confusion about the trainers for season 16. Let’s clear this up for you. Jillian Michaels left again, and she is being replaced by two new trainers, Jennifer Widerstrom and Jessie Pavelka (yes, he is Bachelor Jake Pavelka’s cousin). However, both Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince will also be back for the new season, hooray!
