Facebook critics believe that Jenelle Evans is not capable of properly caring for a dog, much less another human being. The reality star certainly struggled with these tasks during last night’s episode of Teen Mom, at one point shocking viewers by raising her voice. Since then, Jenelle has learned a thing or two about dogs — and she’s always willing to share her expertise with dedicated fans on Twitter.
Jenelle Evans was not eager to bid farewell to Nathan Griffith when his DUI landed him behind bars. After all, by this time, Nathan had become the reality star’s main source of emotional support. His departure left her feeling a bit vulnerable and out of sorts. But Jenelle didn’t have the luxury of unlimited time for moping around — she now had a kid and a dog demanding her attention!
Although caring for for a child and a pooch while pregnant and alone was stressful, Jenelle ultimately thought that the experience made her a better person. She told MTV that she learned a lot while taking responsibility for Nathan’s dog. “What I learned from this experience is that you always need to be two steps ahead. You need to have your dogs trained well, and they need to listen to you as owners.”
According to Jenelle, the hardest work should actually take place before taking on a dog. She believes in learning as much as possible about a potential pet so as to ensure a good match for the entire family. She advises prospective pet owners to “go on Google and search for different breeds and see how they are around children — you want to make sure they are going to get along with all your family members.”
