Kate Gosselin took a significant break from reality television, but after a very successful TLC special, the famous mom is returning for several new episodes of Kate Plus 8. Although she earlier claimed to prefer keeping her kids away from the camera, Kate was forced to come crawling back — the paycheck was just to good to resist!
Kate Plus 8 is back and that surely is a relief for Kate Gosselin, who, until recently, was often struggling to make ends meet as a single mom. Raising eight kids is quite the financial commitment, particularly when non-reality employers are reluctant to take on Kate or Jon as employees. Not only does Kate have her current bills to worry about, a source tells Radar Online that she’s also eager to help her kids pay for college, which, for the twins, is quickly approaching!
Fortunately, according to Radar’s source, Kate is making good money with her return to reality television. Twitter followers assumed that the family could command an impressive TV paycheck, but few realized just how much a few episodes on TLC would net. “Kate’s making more than $40,000 per episode of the new special series, but it’s not clear yet how many episodes there will be. Right now they’re only locked in for one season”
The show might not be back for good, so Facebook fans assume that Kate will be putting away whatever money she earns while filming specials for TLC. Here’s hoping she can pay for her kids’ college tuition!
