Phil Robertson absolutely adores Louisiana, so of course, the Duck Dynasty star is not particularly enthusiastic about his family’s recent insistence on traveling the world. Most of this travel, of course, has involved meet-and-greet events with the show’s numerous Facebook fans, but the mere thought of shaking a yuppie’s hand makes Phil sick to his stomach.
The Duck Dynasty crew is on the move! In recent weeks, the Robertson family has been spotted on a Caribbean cruise, at the Iowa State Fair and, more recently, in Scotland. Uncle Si and Willie seem to thrive on all this travel, but Phil Robertson finds it exhausting. During a recent interview with The Shreveport Times, Alan admitted that the reality star seemed a bit grumpier than usual while the family was filming the season seven premiere. “I got tickled cause it was just like when Phil was in Hawaii last year. He gets trapped. He says ‘it’s like Yuppieville on steroids.’”
Phil’s claims are particularly interesting in light of recent Twitter rumors, which suggest that the Robertson family recently completed filming in Scotland. The Duck Dynasty patriarch’s Yuppieville sounds like it should be located near Seattle, or, perhaps, New York City. But Scotland? It may not be Louisiana, but it’s also not the epitome of Yuppieville. Then again, the Robertsons are said to have visited a number of locales, so Phil might not actually be trash talking Scotland when he complains about Yuppieville on steroids.
