The 29th season of Survivor (yes, 29!) is ready to roll. With 18 all-new castaways, Survivor: San Juan Del Sur is returning to its Blood Vs. Water format for the second time. Although there aren’t any returning contestants from previous seasons, there are a few familiar faces. From a former Major League Baseball star to a pair of Amazing Race twins and a gay Christian couple, this season definitely has a diverse group of characters who are ready to outwit, outplay and outlast each other — and their own family members — for $1 million. Jump inside this article to read more about each cast member.
Survivor: San Juan Del Sur, which bursts onto CBS with a 90-minute premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 24, pits loved ones against each other as we first saw in season 27. Although Redemption Island is gone this season, this season marks the return of Exile Island. Each week, two loved ones square off against one another in a battle that will send the loser to isolation on Exile Island, while the winner receives reward for his/her tribe. However, the winner will also have to choose a tribemate to accompany their loved one to Exile Island. The cast is divided into two tribes – Coyopa and Hunahpu.
