From the Givenchy fall campaign to a feature in Vogue, Kendall Jenner’s modeling career is definitely taking off! The promising young model is proud of her accomplishments, but she also worries that her association with Keeping Up With The Kardashians will prove limiting. The solution? Ditch that pesky Jenner label!
Kendall Jenner no longer wants to be thought of as the cute Keeping Up With The Kardashians sister with an interest in fashion. The reality star is making a great deal of progress in her modeling career, but she’s worried that Facebook fans will assume she relied on her sisters’ fame to achieve prominence in the world of fashion.
Eager to create an identity completely separate from reality television, Kendall has decided to drop her last name. Earlier this summer, Kim Kardashian admitted that Kendall was avoiding the Jenner moniker in any and all modeling contexts. Now, there is finally proof of this landmark decision: a recently released comp card features Kendall’s face alongside her newly abbreviated name. A comp card is essentially the modeling version of a business card, and as such, Kendall’s decision to drop her surname in this capacity indicates that she is serious about distancing herself from the Kardashian brand.
Although Kendall has proven willing to remove Jenner from her name while promoting her modeling career, she still has yet to ditch the surname on Twitter. Once she takes this essential social media step, her transition from reality star to model will be complete.
Do you think it is wise for Kendall Jenner to drop her last name? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
