For eighteen weeks, Big Brother 6 star Kaysar Ridha has been on MSNBC’s the “It” List. For most of those weeks, Kaysar has occupied the #1 spot on the list, and apparently the fine folks at MSNBC don’t appreciate a reality TV star monopolizing the top spot on their poll. The MSNBC editors in charge of the “It” List have decided to take matters into their own hands and are wiping the list clean for 2006.
The “It” List is supposed to be a reader ranking of the hottest celebrities, and according to the posted rules, “How long each stays on the list is up to you.” However, MSNBC editors are throwing the rules out the door in what appears to be a conspiracy to eliminate Kaysar Ridha from the list. While all the current celebrities on the list are being wiped out by this year end purging by MSNBC, the editorial comments placed next to each star imply a possible ulterior motive to get rid of Kaysar.
The editorial comments for Kaysar say “This is it Kaysar fans. The absolute last time that you will ever see the former “Big Brother” star sit atop our “It” List.” These comments have an almost vindictive tone to them, as if the editorial team is punishing Kaysar fans. Meanwhile, the editorial comments for the other stars on the list are much more positive.
The editorial comments for Chris North, who occupies the #2 spot, say “It’s a shame that Chris North’s run to the top will be cut short by our need to purge the “It” List for 2006.” We’re just surprised that the editor didn’t finish his sentence to say “by our need to purge the “It” List for 2006 (in order to get rid of Kaysar because there is no way Chris North or anybody else will ever top him).” The editorial comments for Jon Cryer also offer up sympathy, “It seems slightly unfair to give this “Two and a Half Men” star only one week on our “It” List…”
Perhaps, the most telling comments are the ones for Johnny Depp, who has been on the “It” List for even longer than Kaysar. The comments note “We’ll miss you, Johnny.” While it is possible that MSNBC purges the "It" List every year, the fact that movie star Johnny Depp gets a “We’ll miss you” while reality TV star Kaysar Ridha gets a “This is it” sure seems to point to a conspiracy.
Message board posters on the popular Big Brother fan site Jokers Updates, who have been a big reason behind Kaysar’s dominance on the list, are voicing their outrage over this move by MSNBC. Jokers Updates posters have suggested showing their displeasure by rallying around another reality TV star like Matt from The Biggest Loser and voting him to the top of the “It” List. One poster even suggested really driving MSNBC crazy by voting Kevin Federline to the top.

It’s their list; they could do whatever they want. Besides CBS is going to air the “KAYSAR and JANELLE got married” special next fall. What more do you KAYMATES WANT!
