Next Great American Band Results – Tres Bien Eliminated

On the fifth Next Great American Band results show, one band was eliminated and the top five bands performed a Rod Stewart song. Dot Dot Dot performed the Rod Stewart song “Young Turks.” John Rzeznik said “This was your best performance since you’ve been here.” Shelia E. said “I think you guys need to concentrate on the tempos.” Dicko said “It was a good call to arms, great energy, but it didn’t really tell the story.”

Denver And The Mile High Orchestra performed the Rod Stewart song “Baby Jane.” John Rzeznik said “Denver, you really, really pushed the performance on your vocals up a lot.” Shelia E. said “I love you guys so much.” Dicko said “I loved it to a point.”

Sixwire performed the Rod Stewart song “Hot Legs.” John Rzeznik said “I thought it was a really muscular version of that song, you guys are a great rock n’ roll band.” Shelia E. said “I think that you guys really come with great arrangements.” Dicko said “The bass solo, I thought you still got the electric chair for that in some states. You certainly should. Never do that again.”

The Clark Brothers performed the Rod Stewart song “You’re In My Heart.” John Rzeznik said “I’m really moved by that.” Shelia E. said “It’s overwhelming what you guys bring here, and this was what my life was about, and that’s why I’m here, and I thank you.” Dicko said “You brought something magical. You always, always do.”

Light of Doom performed the Rod Stewart song “Infatuation.” John Rzeznik said “You guys are going to be a really amazing band.” Shelia E. said “I think you guys came together once again.” Dicko said “It was a good song for you.”

Tres Bien was eliminated from the competition. The three judges offered some parting words to Tres Bien. John Rzeznik said “As a musician, they’re all better musicians than me, so I don’t have much advice about that.” Shelia E. said “I’m still positive that you guys should have your own television show on Saturdays, I’m serious.”
