Bob and Neil are in the house, discussing the loss of Nicole and the monumental job that Neil has before him if he’s to make it to the finals and send a Black Team member home. “What they don’t understand,” Neil warns, “is that I’ll pick off all the rest of them.” Seems the game’s on for Neil – if only he can put double digits on the scale tonight.
It’s a night of remembering the journey for the Losers. Jillian has the Black Team in the desert, reenacting their first day at the ranch. All of them are amazed by their transformations over the past 13 weeks; Hollie’s floored by the mental transformation as well as the physical.
Bob, too, has Neil back on the treadmill, walking on the speed that taxed him on his first day on campus as well. “Look at you – Look at how strong you’ve gotten, Neil,” says Bob.
It’s challenge time and the teams show up in the desert once again, to be greeted by Alison and a bunch of bulldozers. In keeping with the remembering the journey theme, the players will be remembering their losses, week by week during this challenge. Each player will have a giant scale harnessed to them and will have to pull the scale to 13 different stops, each stop representing a week at the ranch. At each stop, the players will have to load that week’s loss onto their scale, in the form of weights. Once they’ve piled all their lost weight onto their scales, they have to run back to the start line, where they’ll dump all the weight and the scale into a giant pit and wave a flag signaling a bulldozer to drop a load of dirt on top of it all, symbolically burying their lost weight forever.
Neil wants to win this one bad. Specifically, he wants to beat Bill. “I’ve gotta beat that old man at some point,” he says. And he’s not the only one wanting the win. The prize stands at $10,000! Bill thinks he’s already got it beat, saying he’s counting that 10-grand before they even start moving.
It’s not even a close race, really. Isabeau beats the pants off of the others, signaling for her load of dirt to be dropped just as Bill reaches the pit to dump his weight in, causing a huge plume of dirt to billow over him. “I literally ate her dust,” Bill says. “I can’t believe what I’ve accomplished in the last few months,” a celebratory Isabeau tells the camera.
With the challenge behind them, there’s only one thing on the minds of the players now – the Last Chance Workout. Bob is devoted to pushing Neil as hard as he possibly can, to give Neil the best leg up he can get in the weigh-in. Neil is determined not to fall below the yellow line, saying he “…will not give the Black Team the satisfaction…” of eliminating another whole team. Jillian’s got her hands full in the gym as well, when Isabeau tries to worm out of being pushed on the treadmill. “I just cannot hear ‘I can’t’ in week 14,” Jillian says. She lectures Isabeau and gets tears but it works and Isabeau pushes herself to Jillian’s standards.
“Everything that we’ve done here comes down to tonight,” Isabeau says, heading into the weigh-in room. Everyone is tense and nervous – to come this far and not be in the finale would be devastating.
Everyone puts up the numbers this week. Neil has his 11th double-digit week of the season and pounds out a 10 pound loss. Bill comes close with 9 pounds (and gets very emotional at the sight of it). Both Isabeau and Julie sob when they see their 8-pound losses (Isabeau, who has lost the most of any female Biggest Loser contestant before going home says, “I love today.”). And Hollie whispers “Feels good,” when she sees her 5 pounds up there. But that 5 isn’t enough. And, astonishingly, neither is Neil’s 10. It’ll be Hollie and Neil on the chopping block in the Elimination Room.

The Elimination comes and goes with little fanfare. Everyone knew what was going to go down. Neil accepts his fate gracefully and says he has no regrets. He tells his competitors that it’s been an honor to share the experience with them, but he’s ready to go home. “I’ve got a lot of smiling faces waiting for me back home,” he says. When Alison says, “Neil, I’m sorry to tell you you’re not the Biggest Loser,” he answers, “It’s okay,” then gets up, grabs a hot fudge sundae out of the fridge behind him (I always wondered if that was actually food in there…), sits it in front of Bill, pats Bill on the back and wishes Bill luck.
We get a quick glimpse of Neil today. He’s lost an incredible 165 pounds (woot!woot!) and is living the active lifestyle he’s always wanted to have.
Jillian waits for her “outcast” team to arrive, one by one, in another room. Each is greeted by Jillian and a life-sized cardboard cutout of themselves on the day they arrived at the ranch.
All Black Team, the final four are:
Julie – Jillian says when Julie arrived at the ranch, she was a self-proclaimed weakest link. “I will forever be grateful,” Jullie says.
Bill – Who proclaims, “Oh my God!” when he sees the cutout of himself. “This is your accomplishment,” Jillian tells him.
Hollie – Who’s made the greatest mental transformation, according to Jillian. “You earned it,” she tells a tearful Hollie. “You earned every bit of it.”
Isabeau – Who’s already made Biggest Loser history. She alone gets Jillian emotional with her thank-you and goodbye.
“I feel blessed to know them,” Jillian says.
