Next Great American Band Winners Are The Clark Brothers

On the Next Great American Band finale, host Dominic Bowden announced that over two and a half million votes had been cast after the final performance show. As past clips from the season played, The Likes Of You performed “When I Fall From Grace.”

Northmont returned and joined with the horn section from Denver And The Mile High Orchestra, the rhythm section from Sixwire, and the rocking slide man from The Clark Brothers to perform “Smooth” by Santana featuring Rob Thomas.

Before the final results were announced, the final three bands and two of the judges performed. The Clark Brothers performed their song “You Are Still The Same.” Judge Shelia E. performed her song “The Glamorous Life.” Sixwire performed the Rolling Stones song “The Last Time.” John Rzeznik and The Goo Goo Dolls performed “Broadway.” Denver And The Mile High Orchestra performed the Ides Of March song “Vehicle.”

After the three finalists’ and two judges’ performances, host Dominic Bowden revealed that Denver And The Mile High Orchestra were not the next great American band. Light Of Doom performed “Merry Christmas Everybody.” Dot Dot Dot returned to perform “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.” Sixwire performed “Perfect Christmas.” Tres Bien performed “Wonderful Christmastime.” The Clark Brother performed “Last Christmas.” Cliff Wagner And The Old Number 7 performed “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.” Denver And The Mile High Orchestra performed “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” All the bands together performed “Another Rock And Roll Christmas.”

The final two bands Sixwire and The Clark Brothers were called to center stage. Host Dominic Bowden revealed that the Next Great American Band was The Clark Brothers. When the judges were asked for their reaction, Dicko said “I’m thrilled, absolutely thrilled to bits. With all due respect to all of the other bands and especially to Sixwire, you guys week after week brought the magic and to me that’s what music is about.” Shelia E. said “I am so happy. I am so proud. I prayed for this moment. I really, really did.” John Rzeznik said “I just have to say ‘I knew it all along.’”
