American Gladiators Premieres Tonight

The reality competition series American Gladiators debuts tonight with a special two-hour premiere. This updated version of the classic series will be hosted by Hulk Hogan of Hogan Knows Best and Laila Ali of Dancing with the Stars. The series will feature two male and two female contenders competing against each other for points, while avoiding the gladiators.

On the first hour of the premiere episode, the two women that will be competing are ex-U.S. Marine Bonnie Blanco and fitness trainer Shanay Norvell. The two men that will be competing are student Molivann Duy and lifelong gladiator hopeful Jeff Keller.

In the second-hour of the premiere episode, the two men that will be competing are Brooklyn firefighter Anthony Abbatemarco and California professional skater Chad Knight. The two women that will be competing are professional chef Koya Webb’s and saleswoman Jessie Foster. One of the matches is at risk of being cut short by an injury. American Gladiators airs on Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 9PM to 11PM on NBC.
