American Idol Judge Simon Cowell Predicts Democrat Will Win Next Presidential Election

American Idol judge Simon Cowell doesn’t have much to say when it comes to who will win American Idol this year. Cowell recently told reporters, “It’s probably going to be one of the most open competitions we’ve ever had. I can’t call out a winner at this stage. In my mind I think I have an idea who could make the finals, but I’m not going to give anything away at the moment.”

However, when it comes to the American political system, Simon Cowell didn’t hesitate to offer up a prediction on the 2008 Presidential elections. Cowell said “My gut feeling is I think it’ll be a democrat is going to win the election in November. I’m fairly sure of that.”

While Cowell didn’t elaborate and say which Democrat, he did offer up some commentary on a recent performance by Hillary Clinton. Cowell said “I always say tears on American Idol never do the contestant any harm, and I don’t think it’s done her any harm either.” Ultimately, Cowell complimented both political parties saying “I think they’re a good bunch of candidates on both sides this year.”
