Idol Nurse Amanda Overmyer Once Arrested For DUI

During the American Idol top 10 girls performance show, Amanda Overmyer had a bad hair day.  After Amanda’s performance of “Carry On My Wayward Son,” American Idol judge Simon Cowell said, “Everything felt contrived, from what you wear, from this terrible hair, from the indulgent song, everything.”

Unfortunately, things aren’t looking any better for Amanda Overmyer today.  If she’s checked out the news lately, then she probably knows her DUI arrest from almost two years ago is now considered major news.  Just as American Idol contestants can count on Simon Cowell to point out every flaw in their performances, they can also count on the media to dig up every run in they’ve ever had with the law. 

According to the National Enquirer, Amanda Overmyer was arrested in October of 2006 for drunk driving.  Amanda reportedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.108, which was above the legal limit of 0.08.  She also reportedly spent six hours in the Montgomery County Jail before getting bailed out.
