Eliminated Idol Denies Wearing Wig

Eliminated American Idol semifinalist Robbie Carrico has been one of the favorite targets of the press this season. In addition to his much publicized past relationship with Britney Spears, news reports have also circulated suggesting that he was wearing a wig during his American Idol performances.

However, when Robbie Carrico was recently asked if he had worn a wig, he replied with a definite denial. A frustrated Carrico explained, “Oh god, I’ve been growing this hair for a very long time, and I think it’s ridiculous that they have to come up with something like that.”

In addition to the hair rumors, Robbie Carrico was none too happy about the judges’ comments that questioned his authenticity as a rocker. Carrico said, “That’s kind of a little strong point for me. I have spent the past six years working my tail off in grungy bars, and you know pulling our own trailer with our equipment, loading it in and out, living out of a van sometimes. Doing all the grunt work that they said they didn’t see me doing, and that you know, because of what I did before with pop music that was a job to me, if you ever turned my CD player on while I was out on the road you’d be hearing rock the whole time. I mean, you know, like I said before ‘this is me, you get what you see.’”

So, for the record American Idol fans, that’s Robbie Carrico’s real hair and he’s a real rocker.
