Deanna and Jesse - Should We Have Seen It Coming?

Last night on The Bachelorette much of the television viewers were in shock when Deanna did not pick the crowd favorite, settled down, family man but instead picked the untamed snowboarder, Jesse. Maybe we shouldn’t have been so surprised though.

From the beginning of the season we were promised that this was going to be the MOST romantic season ever. Deanna clearly saw something in Jesse as she kept him in the house after that first night even though he was wearing jeans, a glow in the dark sports coat and had pink shoe laces in his shoes.

Jesse clearly had the sweetest song when he serenaded Deanna and it won him the fancy solo date in the theater. You could see the romance in the way he held her and they danced. Weeks later, when she met his family and he finally kissed her, you could feel the electricity in the air.

The relationship between Jesse and Deanna developed slowly, sweetly and definitely romantically. I agree with what Jason said in the After the Rose episode last night that Deanna looked at Jesse differently. I too believe, like her father that she had her mind made up already when she introduced the guys to her family, even though she probably did not know that yet.

There was a romantic connection that sent sparks out of our TV’s whenever there was a scene between Deanna and Jesse. In the end true love always wins prevails.
