Billy Ray Cyrus To Perform On Nashville Star Finale

The sixth season of Nashville Star is coming to an end, and there are only three finalists left. On the live Nashville Star 6 season finale, either Shawn Mayer, Melissa Lawson or Gabe Garcia will be crowned the winner and receive a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records.

According to an NBC press release, there were a record number of votes cast for the final three. In fact, voting was up 53% from the prior week. On the finale, the final three will each get another chance to perform. They will also get to reunite with all the previously eliminated finalists, and host Billy Ray Cyrus will perform.

There will also be a surprise appearance by country music legend George Jones. At the end of the show, the winner will perform their debut sing, which was produced by John Rich. The single will be released to country radio the very next morning, and the winner will give a live performance from the Olympics in Beijing on August 12. John Rich will also produce the debut album of the winner.

The Nashville Star 6 season finale airs on Monday, August 4 from 10 PM to 11 PM ET/PT.
