David Archuleta Has A Manager

David Archuleta, last seasons American Idol runner up, has signed with Azoff Management, the music powerhouse that also manages the likes of Christina Aguilera, Morrissey, the Eagles and Neil Diamond.

19 Entertainment usually get first dibs on the Idol finalists, but passed on Archuleta for some reason. A 19 representative declined to comment on why, but perhaps it is because David’s father, Jeff Archuleta, is reportedly difficult. His dad will still be co-managing his son’s career along with Jared Paul from Azoff Management.

Archuleta remains on the 19 Recordings roster, and the company is intimately involved in overseeing his first album, which is due out November 11, 2008. David Cook, who is represented by 19 Entertainment, willdebut hisalbum a week later.
