Opportunity Knocks On The Door Of The Vomvos Family

On this week’s episode of Opportunity Knocks, the Vomvos family from East Islip, New York is featured. Opportunity Knocks is the reality game show competition from executive producers Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, Karey Burke, JD Roth and Todd A. Nelson. Each week a different family gets the opportunity to answer questions about each other for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

The Vomvos family is nicknamed the “Long Island Brady Bunch” because of the size of the family.  The Vomvos family consists of Chris and Laura Vomvos and their nine children.  Even though the family faces such struggles as not being able to fit in one car or even an elevator together, they are a fun-loving blended family.

The Vomvos family will face such challenges as translating the two-year old’s baby talk and spelling Verrazano.  Also, Chris Vomvos will have to suffer through his wife Laura naming one item of his that she would like to throw out.

One of the prizes up for grabs is a private tour of the New York Yankee’s new stadium, given by a Yankee legend.  Other potential prizes include a Mediterranean cruise, a deluxe lawnmower and tickets to a Taylor Swift concert.

Opportunity Knocks airs on Tuesday, October 14 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on ABC.
