The Biggest Loser Breaks Up Another Husband-Wife Team

The Biggest Loser is no longer “Families” as we saw the teams get carved up and, in some cases, began to compete against each other last week. We also saw another solid weight-loss contestant, Shellay, get eliminated and, in the after pictures, you could see that she had taken the lessons from the ranch to heart.

Amy, minus Shellay, but now a part of Bob’s team, was left to fend for herself with her new team and continue her quest for the title of Biggest Loser. With the battles getting more cut-throat, along with the tension, we will start to see much more vigorous challenges, especially since the losers have started to shed their weight. They have also begun to adapt to the workouts that Bob and Jillian put them through on a daily basis Well, I guess they can never actually fully adapt to the trainers, but maybe they get better at doing the workouts.

Different Kind of Exercise

The next day brought Jillian in bright and early to see that Shellay gone and now had to rally her team to get them to the next weigh-in. Phil was struggling with still being in competition with his wife, Amy, who is on the other team. Bob had his team meet him at what looked to be a store, which caused the girls to think they were given a shopping day. It was actually a gymnastic facility and had his team twisting and turning on ropes. Jillian’s team was doing some repelling with some ropes and a lot of the team seemed to have a fear of heights as they all took turns climbing up different obstacles. It was funny watching everyone seem so scared, but this is a televised national program. I am sure they are tethered so well that there is no way anything would happen to them.

We next had some self-defense going on with a padded person that each of the blue team took turns pummeling. Bob was laughing about how delicate Amy was when she attacked the dummy and Heba oh my gosh, don’t ever want to meet her in a dark ally. She was brutal.

Dr. Rob Huizenga Weighs In

The blue team then went to the dreaded machine that scans the fat in the body and then met with the Doctor to see how they were fairing with the exercise. Michelle had dropped her body age by 6 years so far and Renee had lost around 9 years. Brady went from a 73 year old man to a 43 year old man and Vicky had actually gained a couple of pounds of muscle. Young Amy dropped from 47 years physically to 34 years old and Phil had dropped from being morbidly obese. Phil’s wife, Amy, had dropped about 20% of fat. Coleen came in at 55 years old and is now around a 30 year old and Heba had lost 30% of her fat.

The Challenge for a Prize

Another water challenge was on tap as the losers had to balance themselves on a ring of fire…just kidding, there was no fire, but they did have to walk around a ring in the water. The winner gets a sappy video from home, I mean, a cool video from home, and off they went walking around on the rings. Ali sent them off and the teams had a lot of trouble adjusting to the rings as it seemed that no one could complete a complete circle. Phil was the first to make a circle. Brady fell off right before completing a circle and that finished off the blue team until all of the black team members had fallen off the beams. Renee and Phil had only ten laps to go to completely skunk the blue team. Phil took a header, leaving Renee to finish the last 9 laps on her own giving the black team a 25 to 0 win.

Bob came in and was shocked to learn that his team barely even bothered to compete and Bob was hacked off that the team didn’t seem that concerned about winning. Bob was all about the attitude, regardless of the prize. The videos, which actually turned out to be an actual direct links to the family, was a better prize than goofy, contrived videos and it was neat to see the families interact.

The last chance workout was brutal and Bob seemed especially hard on the blue team to show that he was not happy about their last challenge. Bob was brutal with Brady having him lift over 600 lbs on the leg press a Jillian was seen pressing Phil hard when Phil made the mistake of saying “I can’t” to Jillian. After Phil went outside to hurl, Jillian was heard yelling at him to get in the gym and work out. I have never heard such grunting as I heard this workout.

Drama Time

Prior to the weigh-in, Brady had been approached by Phil to get the blue team to send Heba home after the weigh-in and it looks like we have ourself a honest-to-goodness rivalry going on between Heba and Phil. It would be neat to see them against each other in the finals for the ultimate drama, but there is a ways to go before that will happen.

Weigh-In Night

Ali talked about the usual way the teams to be weighed in and the Black team headed off to the scales first.

Renee lost 7 lbs
Michelle lost 7 lbs
Coleen lost 8 lbs
Phil lost 7 lbs
Total Team % lost: 3.20%

Blue Team was next and they needed to lose 36 lbs to stay out of elimination room.

Amy C. lost 6 lbs
Heba lost a disappointing 5 lbs
Vicky lost 8 lbs
Amy P. lost 2 lbs, which will probably send her home.
Brady lost a pitiful 3 lbs, which should send him home.

Total Team % lost: 2.09%

Blue team was told by Ali that they had an hour to decide and Amy P. went to say goodbye to Phil, unless something wacky happens. After some chit-chat to throw us off, Heba got into a shouting match with Amy P about Phil’s dislike for her. Amy tried to plead her case and made a case against Brady as he had not lost as much as he should of. It didn’t think it mattered and Amy left the room looking dejected knowing that she was probably headed home.

The Elimination Room

The Blue team sat once again in the hot seat and Ali tried to make a case for wise decisions in the elimination room. Vicky started it off and Amy P. got a quick vote and was quickly followed by Brady giving her a vote. Amy C. did not go along with Brady and Vicky and voted for Brady. Amy P. voted for Brady, which had it tied up. Heba, knowing her dislike for Phil, sent Amy P. home and allowed Brady to dodge the bullet.

Amy P. didn’t hug anyone as she left and we got to see her after she left the ranch and saw that she had lost a lot of weight, going from a size 20 dress to a size 8.

I hope this is the last season for this stupid show. I have never seen so much wineing and crying in all of my life.
This belongs in the afternoon with all of the other soaps. These people should get off of their buts and do something constructive with their lives. The show takes up way to much time on TV, 15 minutes would be plenty of time.
