The British Bachelor Finds A British Love

After travelling from England to the US to find the love of his life and then splitting up with her, former bachelor Matt grant has finally found love. Matt Grant was the British Bachelor who went off the market after falling for Shayne Lamas on The Bachelor: London Calling, but the relationship was rocky at best and ended this past July.

Grant is now dating his British born public relations representative who he met just after his appearance on The Bachelor. At first it was just business, but Grant admitted to PEOPLE, “I couldn’t help but to think, ‘Man she’s hot.’”

Two months after his engagement ended with Lamas, he and Roberts went out for drinks and it ended as a date. “We connected on every level,” he says. “If she had been on The Bachelor, there would not have been a competition. It would’ve been the shortest season ever.”

Even though there is an eleven year age difference between the two; she is 39 and he is 28, Grant says that is not problem. “Age is not an issue,” he says. “Sarah is very much on my level. The only thing is I’ve had to bring my game up since The Bachelor. She’s way too intelligent for some of the talk I used on the show.”

He also says that even though his relationship with Robarts, who is a mother of two, has evolved into a serious emotional bond, they are not rushing the relationship. “I’m trying to play this cool, but I feel blessed,” says Grant. “We have a wonderful relationship and I hope we continue forever.” He also added, “It’s turned into the best relationship I have ever been in. I’m completely in love. She’s extremely beautiful inside and out. She’s one in a million.”

And the fact that his true love is not an American, Grant stated, “It’s just so ironic that I came all the way over from England to find love on The Bachelor in America. And in the end, I fall in love with a Brit.”
