Super-Mom Swaps With Free-Spirited Mom On Wife Swap

On this week’s episode of Wife Swap, the Brown family and the Neighbors family are featured. Jessica Neighbors is a self-described super-mom who is very involved in her children’s lives, while Marlee Brown is a free-spirited mom who would rather have fun with the kids than check their homework.

The Neighbors family of Idaho consists of wife Jessica and husband Alan and their two children. The children are eleven year old Kassidy and nine year old Kaden. Jessica and Alan take an active role in their children’s lives. Kassidy and Kaden are involved in gymnastics, soccer, music lessons and chores. Jessica utilizes a star system where the children can earn rewards like a pizza and a movie. Jessica is also very safety-conscious and always ensures the children are buckled into booster seats in the car.

The Brown family of Ohio consists of wife Marlee and husband Steve and two children. The children are two year old Maverick and twelve year old Zane, who is Steve’s step-son. The Brown family enjoys yo-yos, rock music and taking life as it comes. Marlee works as a freelance graphic designer, while Steve is a yo-yo champion who performs in a tutu. Steve also works long hours in the family’s zany shop, and he takes a hands-off approach to parenting, which means the kids often turn the house upside down.

In the first week of the swap, Jessica struggles to adapt to the chaotic lifestyle of the Browns, while Marlee feels that Alan is putting to much pressure on his kids. In the second week of the swap, Jessica attempts to teach Steve some parenting skills, while Marlee has Alan wear a weighted vest so he can get an idea of the weight he puts on his kids. Wife Swap airs on Friday, November 7 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on ABC.
