Extreme Makeover Home Edition Helps Heroic Firefighter

On this week’s episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Ty Pennington and his team travel to Toledo, Ohio to help the Frisch family. The Frisch family consists of Aaron and Jackie Frisch and their eleven children. The Frisch family lives in a cramped and deteriorating home.

Aaron and Jackie Frisch have three biological children and eight adopted children. Jackie is a ordained minister. Five of the children were adopted from an orphanage in Haiti after Jackie paid a visit there on a mission trip. Three of the children were adopted from Toledo’s inner city.

The entire family of thirteen is living in a cramped one-story ranch home that lacks air conditioning. To make matters worse, Jackie suffers from a soft tissue disease called Ehrlers-Danlos Syndrome. Jackie has had five surgeries because of her disease and has had a series of strokes. The left half of her body is paralyzed.

Aaron is a firefighter and paramedic for Toledo’s Fire and Rescue Department. Aaron has helped to save many lives. In October 2005, he saved his rescue partner’s life during the Toledo riots.

Ty Pennington, his design team, local builder Buckeye Real Estate Group and hundreds of volunteers will work to rebuild the Frisch family home. HP had donated personal computers for the family and is decorating a special room in the house. The design team includes Paul DiMeo, Michael Moloney, Rib Hillis and Didiayer Snyder.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs on Sunday, November 16 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on ABC.
