American Idol: David Cook And Kimberly Caldwell Split

The American Idol match made in Idolheaven is over! Season 7 winner David Cook has just split from fellow American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell. The fairy-tale relationship began last May when season 7 winner David Cook asked Kimberly Caldwell out while she was covering the American Idol finale red carpet for the TV Guide channel.

“Kimberly and David ended their relationship just before the holidays,” Kimberly Caldwell’s rep told In Touch. “The couple remain good friends and, being very private people, appreciate their privacy at this time.”

David Cook who just released his self-titled debut album recently announced that he will be going on a national tour beginning next month. Kimberly Caldwell is keeping herself busy as well. She will be the host of a new reality TV series on MTV called P. Diddy’s Starmaker which is set to premiere this month.
