Dancing With The Stars: Why John McCain Said No To Cindy Dancing

Last week, Reality TV magazine wrote that Senator John McCain had put the kibbosh on his wife Cindy McCainjoining the cast ofDancing With The Stars this season which begins March 9 on ABC. The Senator has finally spoken out to give his side of the story and wants to set the record straight.

John McCain was a guest on Larry King Live last night and he told the talk showhost that although the couple had talked about a possibility of Cindy doing Dancing With The Stars, they had decided that it wasn’t a good idea.

“Well, we discussed it,” he said. “,But we decided it just was not a good idea.”

John McCain said the main reason for his wife Cindy not doing the show was due to the fact that she has had knee replacement surgery.

“It would have been very challenging,” he said about Dancing With The Stars.

John McCain was quick to point out many of the good things that his wife is involved in and said, “But I’m proud of her work and charity around the world, Operation Smile, a number of other organizations — humanitarian efforts that she’s involved in and is continuing to be involved in.”

Good man. That comment alone should keep his wife settled and happy for awhile anyway!

   I think that Operation Smile is an awesome project. You may wish to watch the movie “SMILE” available through feature films for families. It is based on a true story about a student named, Katharine Kramer.
