It may be awhile before Project Runway fans will see another installment of their favorite show on TV. Project Runwayis still being held up in court due to lawsuits and cross complaints over the Weinstein Company moving the show from Bravo to Lifetime Television. NBC Universal, which is the parent company of Bravo, launched the lawsuit for breach of contract.

Season 6 of Project Runway has already been shot in Los Angeles this past fall and on February 20, the final contestants will display their collections to the judges during New York Fashion Week. This season there will be a twist though…as none of the designers have had a chance to show their designs due to the fact that not one episode of this season has aired, the collections will be shown without revealing who they belong to!

Meanwhile, we are still not sure if this show is ever going to get on the air again. After the New York Supreme Court judge issued a preliminary injunction to keep Lifetime from airing or promoting Project Runway last fall, Lifetime countered the injunction hoping that the case would be moved to federal court, but to no avail. A federal judge rejected Lifetime’srequest in December, sending the matter back to the state Supreme Court. No trial date has yet been set.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this caseas itcould actuallybe a great boost to Project Runway’s ratings, if the show ever goes to air! Many fans will be sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to see just how the executives are going to run this season and there are sure to be many twists and turns along the way, due to this whole legal mishap. That alone, makes for interesting TV!
