Dancing With The Stars: Belinda Carlisle Has Got The Beat

Go Go’s singer Belinda Carlisle, is gearing up for the Dancing With The Stars competition this season which is set to premiere March 9 at 8 PM ETon ABC. While she is excited about the venture, she admits it is more difficult than she expected.

“I’ve never done anything choreographed before so I’m stepping out of my safe little world,” Belinda Carlisle told Entertainment Tonight.

Belinda Carlisle, who is 50-years-old added, “I have noticed from the first few weeks of doing this, it’s very hard — especially when you’re my age. It’s a lot more difficult for me than Shawn Johnson who is 17.”

Belinda Carlisle is following in the same footsteps as former Dancing With The Starscompetitor Marie Osmond. She has the same partner, Jonathan Roberts, is juggling concert dates while on the show and she has decided to go on the same NutriSystemdiet that Marie Osmond went on as well.

“I figure if Marie can do this and shows at the same time so can I. She’s my role model right now,” Belinda Carlisle said. She concludes.”I can eat a lot more NutriSystem snacks now. It all helps and I love to eat.”

Let’s just hope she doesn’t pass out like Marie Osmond did in 2007!
