Dancing With The Stars: The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft To Join The Show?

People Magazine is reporting that Jason Mesnick’s ex-fiance from The Bachelor, will be joining Dancing With The Stars season 8! Apparently Melissa Rycroft will be taking the place of Access Hollywood host, Nancy O’Dell who had to bow out of the competitionlast week due to a torn meniscus in her knee which will require surgery.

A source told People Magazinethat the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Melissa Rycroft, will be dancingon the premiere show this Monday, even though she has only had fourdays to rehearse. Hopefully her cheerleading experience will help her catch up!

Melissa Rycroft is not new to reality TV. In addition to “The Bachelor,” she had previously starred on CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team and last week Melissa Rycroft released a statement saying that she “decided to move on from my reality television days, and get some sense of normalcy back to my life.” I guess no one told Melissa Rycroft that Dancing With The Stars IS reality TV?

A spokesperson for ABC has declined to comment. The cast changes will formally be announced during the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars tomorrow at8 PM ETon ABC.

The Girl’s Next Door starlette, Holly Madison is reported to be replacing Jewel as well.
