Dancing With the Stars: Denise Richards Emotional First Week

Dancing With The Stars season 8 is well underway and along with the premiere of the show comes elation along with frustration and that was no different for contestant Denise Richards. Although she shed tears before her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy expected her too, she says everything is fine now and she is ready forher second round of dancing.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy told ET, “Everybody coming in wants to do their best for the first show and its not always coming out.” He added, “The combination of that, plus a little bit of me pushing, caused a little bit of tears.”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy said that that the tears usually don’t flow from his partners until week five, but Denise Richards got it out of the way early and Denise Richards said that she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, “Get along very well.”

Denise also commented on the curse of Dancing With The Stars and says, “There is no curse, this is a sport and people get hurt doing sports.”

Next week Denise will dance the quickstep when Dancing With The Stars returns Monday night at 8 PM on ABC.
