The Biggest Loser Couples go home tonight as we see the Losers that are left see the ones they left behind. With all of the stress that the Losers have seen as of late, it was probably nice to be away for the ranch for a bit. While it is never easy, especially for the trainers as they have to watch as the Losers find their own way for a while, it will be a test to see how the real world reacts to their dramatic weight loss to date and how they react to the real world. With Blue Team’s ranks dwindling and Black Team, even after splurging on reward last week, looking unstoppable, we know that there will probably be a merging of the Black and Blue Teams before long, but probably not tonight.
Host Alison Sweeney started right where we left off as we saw Mandi walk out the door. Allison told the Losers they were not done yet and then the Black Team joined the Blue in the Elimination Room. Allison told them all that they were all headed home for the week and would arrive back at the ranch for the weigh-in at the end of the week.
As the Losers all went home, it was reminiscent of when the finalist all head for home to see their families, with cheering throngs and all, after leaving the ranch. It was nice to see the Losers with their families but you had to wonder if the old habits would reassert themselves and cause the Losers to stumble before the next weigh-in.

Ron was first to see the tin cans that had been delivered to the Losers at their homes as they all realized that the game was still on. As the Losers opened their cans, they all found sugar cookies as temptations and a dvd of host Allison Sweeney. Sweeney announced the marathon challenge to the Losers and all of the Losers were not excited as to the challenge of running half of a marathon, a thirteen mile run. Allison added that the sugar cookies were temptations and that for every cookie they ate, they would get to add five minutes to any other player’s time and that the winner would win $10,000 dollars.
Most of the losers opted out of eating the cookies and adding time to a fellow Loser, but there were a few who seemed overly tempted, like Kristin and Cathy as thy all geared up for the marathon. The Losers took off on their individual runs and it was fun to see the Losers surrounded by their friends and family as they sprinted towards that thirteen minute mark.

Tara seemed in great shape as she really didn’t seem to have any trouble at all with her laps. Of course Ron struggled the most with most of the Losers thinking that Filipe, Sione and Tara were the biggest threat to win. As the marathon dragged on, the eight mile mark seemed to be where many of the Losers seemed to begin to flail. Sione collapsed in pain with about a half mile left to go and Tara bust through the finish line with the most energy, looking like the one to beat, unless someone doomed her with sugar cookies.
The Marathon Results:
Tara finished at 2:24:19; Sione 2:25:57; Helen 2:49:19; Aubrey 2:53:02; Cathy 3:15:21; Mike 3:19:38 Laura 3:24:00; Filipe 3:24:05; Kristin 3:43:45 and Ron didn’t finish but stayed at it for 1 hour and 24 minutes before calling it quits. At the end, we saw what looked like Cathy, Kristin and Aubrey eating cookies and probably dooming Tara’s chances for the $10,000 dollars if they did indeed eat.
The Losers all did pretty well at staying in the gym, although some seemed to realize that home life and temptations that came along with it were no so easy to overcome. Tara seemed to take most of the lessons home with her and really had a training attitude as she spent time with her family but most of the Losers surprised even themselves as they made better food choices during the week.
After several touching goodbyes, including a scene where Aubrey was trying to talk to her 500 pound father about losing weight, we were taken back to the ranch where the Losers were faced with the sugar cookie conundrum fairly quickly by Allison. We quickly discovered that Helen ate a cookie and penalized Tara, giving Sione the $10,000.

The last chance workout was brutal, especially from Jillian as both trainers knew that the Losers were at a disadvantage having been home for a week. Sione and Filipe were both still working out with Bob and all of the Losers looked like they were out of practice with their training regiment as they huffed and puffed through the workout.
The Weigh-In:
Alison Sweeney said that it was team against team once again and that the team percentage of weight-loss would determine the winner and sent the loser to the Elimination Room.
Black Team
Mike lost 8 pounds for a total of .055%
Laura lost 6 pounds for a total team loss of .97%
Tara lost 2 pounds for a total team loss of 1.11%
Sione lost 4 pounds for a total team loss of 1.39%
Filipe lost 7 pounds for a total team loss of 1.87%
Helen lost 7 pounds for a total team loss of 2.35%
Blue Team
Aubrey lost 5 pounds for a total team loss of .48%
Ron lost 10 pounds for a total team loss of .1.44%
Kristin gained 1 pound to take the team back to 1.34%
Cathy lost 1 pound for a total team loss of 1.44% and sending the Blue Team back to the Elimination room once again.

Allison gave the Blue team instructions to prep them for the Elimination and it looked as though Aubrey was headed home as the Ron/Cathy/Kristin block would be sending her home. Cathy said that she would go home but Aubrey said that she probably should not leave her daughter and unless something drastic was to happen, Aubrey would probably be headed out the door.

The unthinkable actually happened as Aubrey, as expected, voted for Cathy and, in a shock, so did Ron. In the most touching scene this season, Kristin voted for her mom to go and Cathy was told that she “Was not the Biggest Loser” by Allison.
Since leaving the Ranch, Cathy who started at 293 pounds is now at 215 pounds and has become addicted to spinning as her exercise of choice.
