Dancing With The Stars Recap 3/24/09: Cloris Leachman Returns And Denise Richards Leaves!

Tonight on Dancing With The Stars the contestants have one final chance to impress the judges. Who will be in the dance-off and fight to stay on Dancing With The Stars for another week? Last night was a night of surprises while some stars shone and others burnt out. Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harrisexplained that next week two stars would be going home in a double elimination round.

The first four couples saved tonight on Dancing With The Starswere Melissa and Tony, Gilles and Cheryl, Shawn and Mark and last but not least, Steve and Karina!

The next group of couples that will be back next Monday are Lawrence and Edyta, David and Kym, Chuck and Julianne and Lil’ Kim and Derek.

The last four couples remaining either under-performed or made costly mistakes last night while they danced.

Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas came out onDancing With The Starsand showed the crowd how to do the Lindy Hop and the Argentine Tango. The comedy performance was full of drama and huge laughs. I hope that the dancers put their moves into their routines next week just toperk up the show!

Next Hall and Oats performed their 1980’s hit Maneater. They were accompanied by pro dancers Karina, Maksim, Tony and Dmitry.

Grammy winner Adele also sang her hit single 19 accompanied by pro dancers Alan and Edyta.

The next couples revealed to be safe tonight on Dancing With The Starswere Steve-O and Lacey and Ty and Chelsie. That leaves Denise and Maks and Holly and Dmitry in a dance-off.

The first up for the dance-off were Holly and Dmitry dancing the samba. Len said that Holly came out and was hot tonight. Bruno said that on the plus side, she has not worries about the top and the bottom being hot. Carrie Ann said that what she really likes about her is her party atmosphere and kept her foot on the ground much better. They received scores of 6, 6 and 6 a 18 which is one better than last night.

Next Denise and Maks danced their samba. Bruno said that Denise has improved from last night leaps and bounds and to build her perfromance around her character. Carrie Ann said that she is good under pressure. Len said that this dance off gives her a great opportunity to prove that she should stay and in his opinion she does. Their scores were 6, 7 and 7 a 20 out of 30.

Tonight Denise and Maks were leaving the dance floor!
