Hell’s Kitchen had Gordon Ramsay losing it completely during the last dinner service as we watched J leave with not even a ceremonial walk of shame. As the fallout of the Lacey and Giovanni switch was still having ramifications in the ranks, the Blue Team narrowly skirted having two people eliminated in one night as Chef Ramsay sparred hem the insult last week. Tonight, however, two will not be as lucky as Chef Ramsay thins out the herd a bit more than expected.
Carol and Andrea continued at each other after the service in spite of winning the night’s service and Lacey became the object of scorn once again as her defeatist attitude continued to be a thorn in the side of the Blue Team.
The Chefs met Chef Ramsay for a cooking lesson and Chef Ramsay immediately fooled the chefs by telling them the dishes were made with beef and scallops but instead the dishes were laced with different ingredients to throw off the chefs. This was the set up for the Taste Test challenge.

Ben and Andrea were first to square off and after they finished Blue led by a 3 to 2 score in the strength of Ben’s pallet. Robert squared off against Giovanni and both men surprisingly missed every taste to leave the men still in charge by one point. Carol was set against Lacey and it looked like the women had a chance to pull ahead.
When it was done, Carol had given the Red Team a 5 to 4 advantage leading into the final two, Danny and Paula who would square off by picking the most ingredients in Minestrone Soup. The two kept in fairly even until Paula put the final blow in the men’s coffin sending the men to the kitchen once again to prep the kitchens for the night’s service. To add insult to injury, the men had to wait on the girl’s team as they had their picture taken for TV Guide for their reward.

Lacey continued to cause the Blue Team distress as she fought them at every turn. With the Blue Team continuing to come apart at the seams, it was hard to see how they would be able to pull it all together for the service or if Lacey would make it through the night without quitting, or even worse, getting sent home by Chef Ramsay.
The service started off and had celebrities, Robert Patrick and Erin McCormick in the dinner service to help judge the competencies of the chefs. The service started out rough for the women as Carol and Paula struggled with their stations and the ongoing feud between Andrea and Carol continued to boil underneath the surface. The Blue Team seemed to be a bit more cohesive as a group, until Lacey started to break down at the meat station, drawing Chef Ramsay’s ire.

Chef Ramsay was incredulous when Lacey could not seem to be in control of her meat station and when he asked her “How long” for an order, she bellowed, “I don’t know” which had Chef Ramsay finally having his fill of the under achieving Lacey and told her to “Get out” and not a moment too soon. Well, actually, it was about two dinner services too late. Ramsay followed her out and told her to “Get a grip” and gave her another chance.
The Red Kitchen had their own troubles as Carol was falling behind and the on-going feud between Andrea and Carol continued to cause the Red Team to have communication issues with LA not helping the situation with her total lack of enthusiasm. Back in Blue kitchen, Lacey was crumbling in front of our eyes and, finally, Chef Ramsay had enough and told Lacey to “Piss off” and to get out.

The Blue Kitchen again was behind the eight-ball as the loss of Lacey seemed to motivate them to achieve and they started to push out orders at a rapid pace. Over in the Red kitchen, LA and Carol were starting to become a drain on the overall performance of the Red Team’s performance and put their winning streak in jeopardy. The Blue Team finally won a service and Chef Ramsay congratulated the Blue Team for their teamwork.
Chef Ramsay sent the Red Team up to pick two to go for before Chef Ramsay and Carol, Andrea and LA were the ones being bantered around to stand before Ramsay. In the end, Paula nominated LA and Carol but others thought Andrea should stand before Chef Ramsay, as well. Chef Ramsay again chastised the Red Team saying that they “Had failed as a team again” and had all three of the ladies stand and asked them why they should stay.

Chef Ramsay knew that Carol and Andrea did not get along and in his questioning of the ladies, finally determined that LA was not suited for leadership as a Head Chef. Chef Ramsay said that in the end, that LA lacked leadership and creativity to be a Head Chef, even though she was a work-horse in the kitchen
