Dancing With the Stars: Shawn Johnson Thanks Fans For Their Support

Olympic gold medalist and Dancing With The Starscontestant, Shawn Johnson thanked her fans for “all of the prayers and good vibes” after an apparentstalkerincident at CBS Studios this past week. She took to her blog to let everyone know how much she appreciates their support.

In her blog, Shawn Johnson wrote, “Thanks so much to everyone for all of the prayers and good vibes, i’m thinking i can use all that i can get right now. Really, you guys are the best fans in the world and you all help me get through the bad times.”

Robert O’Ryan, was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with stalking the 17 year-old gymnast. He was caught jumping over the fence at CBS Studios, where Dancing With The Stars is produced, and police found two loaded guns, duct tape, zip ties and love letters to Shawn Johnson in his car.

Shawn Johnson acknowledged the stalking incident by saying, “Besides all of the dance rehearsals and staying so busy with the show, my life just keeps throwing me curveballs :-).”

Shawn Johnson has obtained a restraining order against Robert O’Ryan, who said he decided to leave his trailer home in Florida and drive to California because he heard Shawn Johnson speak to him “through the television and via ESP.” Bail has been set for O’Ryan at $220,000. Shawn Johnson and her family have also hired bodygurds for protection.

Shawn Johnson praised her pro partner Mark Ballas for his hard work on choreography and said that they will be dancing the Lindy Hop this week as well as thanking her fans.

“Really, you guys are the best fans in the world and you all help me get through the bad times.” She wrote. “Everyone keeps telling me to “just keep smiling” and go on like everything is okay so that’s what i’m doing.”

Dancing With The Stars returns tonightat 8 PM ET on ABC.
