American Idol: Catching Up With Amanda Overmyer

Ever wonder what happened to the Indiana nurse turned edgy, pink-haired rocker contestant, Amanda Overmyer, from last season’s American Idol? Since the release of her first album, Amanda has been quite well received in the music world, so well in fact, that she has some exciting new plans for her future…

Amanda’s first album, Solidify, was a great success and now she has been touring all across the U.S. Last year, she sold out the legendary L.A. venue Whisky-A-Go-Go and her very well received show was dubbed “the show of the year.” Amanda plans to return to Whisky this May, a year later to perform.

With her vibrant personality andreputation for putting on a good performance,this former Idol has become wildly popularand managed to build a very dedicated fan base. Amanda has tour dates booked all across the nation throughout 2009. She hopes to bring a fresh, revitalized take on traditional rock-n-roll.
