Lauren Conrad’s Novel ‘L.A. Candy’ Tops Best Seller List

The Hills‘ former cast member,Lauren Conrad,is not only a reality TV star but now she is a best-selling author! Lauren’s first novel, L.A. Candy, which hit bookstores June 16, recently topped the New York Times Best Seller list for the second week in a row. Keep reading for Lauren’s thoughts on her new accomplishment…

“If someone said to me five years ago when this all started that I would one day make the New York Times Best Seller list I wouldn’t have believed it,” Conradtold PEOPLEexclusively. “I am so honored that it is now a reality.”

The novelchronicles the life ofof Jane Roberts, a 19-year-old girl who moves to Hollywood and ends up as the star of her own reality show. Sound vaguely familiar? Despite all of her success already, Lauren is shocked that the novel has done so well. “It was such a compliment to be included in something with such established names,” she added.
