Survivor: Rob And Amber Mariano Are Proud Parents

Rob and Amber Get Married

Reality TV couple, Rob and Amber Mariano, have survived a lot of stuff together, but can they survive a baby? The couple has announced that they gave birth to a baby girl this past 4th of July at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Keep reading for more details on their newest addition!

Rob and Amber, who originally met while competing on Survivor, also went on to participate on The Amazing Race and had a brief running of their own show, Rob and Amber: Against the Odds.

The couple has named their child Lucia Rose Mariano. The middlename is a tribute to Rob’s mother, who unfortunately died on the same day, while her first name means “light of God.”Lucia arrived weighing 6 lbs., 11.5 oz. and measuring 19 1/4-in. long. “Both mom and baby are healthy and doing great,” Rob told PEOPLE.

“She’sa bit of a night owl like her daddy at times,” he adds. “She is a perfect baby and we could not have asked for anything more. We are over the moon with happiness at her arrival!”

Two years ago, Amber PEOPLE: “We definitely want a family and we’ve been talking about it. But I think it was also important for us to spend the first couple of years just the two of us together.” Rob added, “We are not trying right away but when it happens, it happens.”

Well it looks like it finally happened! Congratulations to the lucky couple!
