Dancing With The Stars: Derek Hough And Shannon Elizabeth Call It Quits

During season six of Dancing With The Stars, several rumorssurfaced that dancing proDerek Hough and partner Shannon Elizabeth were an item. Although the couple was spotted beingaffectionate on various occasions, they strongly denied that anything was going on. Months later, the couple came public and have been dating for almost a year. However, they recently delivered a simultaneous Twitter message calling it quits…

“Hi everyone, we wanted you all to know directly from us, that Shannon & I have decided to end our relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend…,” they each posted in matching Twitter messages. “However, we love and care about each other very much and will remain friends and in each others lives.”

Shannon thanked all of her fans for their continued support and understanding. “Thank you everyone for all your sweet words & encouragement — it really means a lot to me!”she posted.
