Dancing With The Stars: Cast Discusses First Dance

The new cast of Dancing With The Stars is already hard at work preparing for their first big dance. With the season premiere less than a month away, keep reading to see what the dancers had to say about their practices so far…

According to a report on MSNBC.com, Karina Smirnoff and Aaron Carter will be dancing the Cha-Cha the first week. “Oh, I can hardly wait till the opening night! He’s doing so well. Our first dance is Cha-Cha,” Smirnoff tweeted.

Melissa Joan Hart, who will also make her debut with the Cha-Cha, tweeted,“Wow! The Cha-Cha will make your abs rockin!!! No more crunches, just need to chachacha!” Apparently, team names are becoming quite popular this season.  Chelsie Hightower and partner Louie Vito have dubbed themselves “Team Chouie.”

Maksim added that he is quite pleased with how rehearsals are shaping up. “I think I got one of the hardest working people as my partner. I’m really enjoying our rehearsals. I think Debi will do great!”

Dancing With The Stars kicks off Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. on ABC..
