Dancing With The Stars 10/13/09: The Tough Guy Goes Home

The dancers are falling fast on Dancing With The Stars and tonight, who was next on the chopping block? With the women triumphing last night and the men failing to impress during the four new dances, one of them will feel the burn of the red light tonight…was it your favorite?

Last night the dance floor was full of fire with four new dances and Melissa and Mark had the biggest jump in Dancing With The Stars history as her routine and confidence all came together last night when they improved by 9 points from last week. Len told Tom Bergeron that he wanted to see their Charleston as the encore dance tonight and they performed it even better if that is possible!

Shakira came out next and performed her chart topping song, Did It Again. It is a good thing she can sing as she sure cannot dance!

Tom Bergeron then announced that the first two couples safe tonight were Mya and Dmitry and Melissa and Mark, while Aaron and Karina were in the bottom two.

Next week the dancers will dance the Argentine Tango and a group Hustle as well. Len said that he hoped if he sees anything in the dance he is hoping to see passion and drama.

Three more couples were given the green light tonight and they were Kelly and Louis, Natalie and Alec and Joanna and Derek.

With all of the women safe now, the next two couples safe were revealed and they were Mark and Lacey and Michael and Anna.

Shakira then came out and sang Hips Don’t Lie for the audience and viewers. She can move her hips for sure, but I love the parody of her song She Wolf on You Tube by Front Alley Girls better than her original!

Next week there is a whole new level of stress for the dancers as they not only have to learn a new dance, but they have to learn a group dance as well. The dancers are going to have to be able to let off steam as the tension of the competition next week could make or break them.

Seven couples were safe with Aaron and Karina in the bottom two. The next couples off the hook were Donny and Kym, Louie and Chelsie with Chuck and Anna now the second couple in the bottom two.

The couple leaving tonight were Chuck and Anna.

Next week  the couples dance the Argentine Tango and a group Hustle on Dancing With The Stars at 8 PM ET on ABC.
