So You Think You Can Dance: A Taste Of The Competition

Tonight on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX we got a sneak peek of what the competition will be like without the actual competition!?!?!.
Would our top 20 dancers blow us away us or bore us to tears?? And just who is the celebrity judge that Nigel is hoping for on the show??

It was quite an explosive night as our top 20 dancers were broken down into groups tonight on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX
to highlight their specific dance styles. Each group was then sent to choreography to get learn their routine and practice together as a group. We saw hip hop, contemporary, tap dance, jazz, and latin.

The night started with the hip hop group, which consisted of Russell, Legacy and Kevin. They rocked the house right off the bat, leaving Adam speechless & Mary screaming. Nigel commented to “bring it on” and gladly stated that he would endure going deaf from Mary’s screaming if this is what our season 6 would be like.

Then we saw 2 groups of contemporary dancers on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX. Both were very well choreographed and the judges were left with nothing but great comments. The Jazz and Latin groups also got great critique and went off without a hitch.

The tap dancers did a wonderful job on on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX. Although as Nigel has stated, they are going to have a harder time as they have to learn every style and none of the other dancers have to learn how to tap. The trio agreed that they will prevail.  With the tappers came a new face to the choreographers as well in Derrick Grant, welcome aboard Derrick!

Nigel couldn’t leave us without any surprises, now could he? He decided he wanted to leave a seat open for a possible celebrity judge during the season of So You Think You Can Dance on FOX. When asked whom the chair was for, he spun it around to reveal the name Paula Abdul.  So don’t be surprised if we see Paula in the judging panel this season.
