Tonight on The Amazing Race, teams are headed off to the land of debauchery: Amsterdam. Contestants will be thrown into the culture of the Netherlands, while fighting for a one in five chance at one million dollars. When a tough challenge presents itself, one team ends up with a penalty at the pitstop, whereas another team will actually give up on the race altogether!
Meghan and Cheyne are the first to depart to Amsterdam. When all the teams reach the airport they ask Big Easy And Flight Time about what happened with Mika and Canaan at the water slide. Then, Sam and Dan take that moment to come out of the closet as “the token gays,” which surprises NO ONE. All teams are on the same flight to Amsterdam.
Brian and Ericka are having problems with their communication, or shall we say that Ericka has a short fuse. Meghan and Cheyne are tied with four other teams as they reach their first clue, which instructs them to drive to Martinitoren, the highest building in the city. When they arrive, teams must climb a spiral staircase to the top of the building and count the bells as they go up.

DETOUR
Gary and Matt are the first to complete the road block, and must now find a windmill for their next clue. Once at the windmill, teams encounter a detour where they must wear traditional farmer’s costumes: one female and one male. In Farmer’s Game, they must swim across a river and then play 3 rounds of golf and get below par. Of course, this isn’t normal golf, it’s ghetto golf. In Farmer’s Dance, they must learn a folk dance, perform it correctly for a crowd, and then eat a plate of pickled herring. When done, they must take bikes to the pitstop. While most teams have made it to the detour, Ericka is still stuck counting bells. After about eight tries, she finally gets it right. Man, her legs must be killin.

I’m just saying, it was pretty funny seeing Big Easy and Flight Time dressed in traditional Netherlands folk outfits. It might have made the whole show worth watching. Maria and Tiffany are stuck at the detour and can’t complete either of the options. Brian and Ericka finally get through the detour and after walking several miles, realize they were supposed to take bikes to the detour. Ericka is flipping out considering she just got done stair-stepping for about three hours.
Sam and Dan are the first team to reach the pitstop and officially de-throne Cheyne and Meghan from the lead; however, they aren’t far behind and land into second place. Flight Time and Big Easy pull into third place, followed by Gary and Matt. Brian and Ericka somehow manage to be the fifth team at the pitstop, however, they incur a thirty minute penalty for not taking bikes to the detour. Fortunately for Brian and Ericka, Tiffany and Maria aren’t able to complete the detour and give up.
