Dancing With The Stars: Lacey Schwimmer Can’t Perform Due To Flu

Well, that wasn’t very nice of Derek Hough to give Lacey Schwimmer his illness. People has reported that Lacey started feeling sick last Thursday while traveling to New York with partner Mark Dacascos.  Since then, she has come down with a serious case of the flu. Although she was hoping to recover before tonight’s Dancing With The Stars performance, it looks like she will be watching from the sidelines…

Mark Dacascos will be dancing with already eliminated Anna Trebunskaya. Even though the pair only had the weekend to rehearse together, Lacey has complete confidence in Anna. “I have total faith in Anna,” Lacey told People.  “I know she and Mark will have perfect chemistry and hopefully I’ll feel well enough to cheer them on backstage.”

Anna said filling in for Lacey “has definitely been a challenge” considering they have to learn two dances: the samba and the paso doble. “We rehearsed 12 hours Saturday and again Sunday,” Anna told People.

Lacey hopes to recover in time to grace the dance floor next Monday. “Remember to vote so Mark and I can dance next week!” Lacey said.
