The Biggest Loser has reached that time in the competition where the powers that be have decided that the Loser’s clothes are all too big on them. Style guru, Tim Gunn, along with Bravo TV’s Tabitha, take the Losers on a journey of rediscovery of who they may have been and glam them all up a bit in the makeover episode of The Biggest Loser.
The Losers were still pretty bummed about losing two as if they have forgotten that this is a completion and that, in the end, there would only be one. Right now it seems as if the men have a bit of momentum going into the challenges and weight loss, but it is still a three/three split of men and women at this point.
Dress-Up Time
Tim Gunn and Tabitha immediately greeted the Losers and Ali told them that they each had to give an inspirational speech to a group to inspire them on their own journey. Everyone knows that most people fear speaking in public more than they fear death. True, Google it. The Losers went off for a session right out of the Wizard of Oz where they were pampered and preened before they were off to see the Wizard.

It is always humorous to see the guys try to pretend to care about style but the ladies have no trouble whatsoever an it is always pretty crazy to see the Losers “Clean up” a bit. It does seem to give them a boost of confidence, but it still seems to me that many of these Losers still have a bunch of weight to lose before they go and catch the sales at the malls.

The Losers were all shocked that the “Inspirational speech” they were to give was to friends and family members first who were there to see how they had transformed. The speeches were inspirational and heartfelt but it was clear to see that it was not only the weight coming that has affected them off but it was also a change of heart and mind as well.
Back to Business at the Ranch
Enough fun and games as the Losers still had a competition to win and one was to be eliminated. The challenge for the Losers was pretty simple; The Losers were to do cable work across a canyon by pulling themselves seven hundred feet to the other side for a two week stay at a new Biggest Loser resort in Utah.

Rudy and Amanda took a pretty healthy lead and there was really no other competition that challenged them. Rudy held such a commanding lead that no amount of editing could make it even interesting to watch but it was excellent that all of the Losers finished with confidence.
Last Chance Workout
It seems as if we haven’t seen the Losers work out that much this episode as there was no threat of a double elimination hanging over their heads. It just seemed that there was not so much intensity with the Losers this week. The Last Chance Workout was more psyche work that actual training this week so it will be interesting to see what numbers they put up.
The Weigh-In
Host Alison Sweeney once again reminded the Losers about the yellow line and that two would be in danger of going home.
Danny was first and lost 12 pounds for a 3.80% weight loss
Rudy pulled a 16 pound loss for a 4.94% and the distinction of losing more than anyone ever at the ranch
Allen needed to drop more than 12 pounds to be safe from elimination but managed a paltry 5 pounds for a 2.06% weight loss
Rebecca was looking to go below 200 pounds for the first time since high school but only lost 3 pounds for a 1.44% weight loss
Grandma Liz lost 3 pounds as well for a 1.46% weight loss
Amanda needed to lose more than 2 pounds to be safe from the chopping block and was surprised to see a 9 pound weight loss and keep herself safe from elimination and a 4.46% weight loss.
Elimination
Elimination was going to be tough as both women have endeared themselves to the remaining Losers, so it could come down to who fought harder to stay. At the elimination, Liz got the first vote from Amanda and Danny would not vote Liz ever, so it was tied up. Rudy decided to give Rebecca her marching orders quoting a “Lack of trust” which was a pretty goofy reason to vote for her. It seemed that Rudy and Rebecca had a long-seated issue that reared its ugly head. Weird elimination tonight but, hey, one of them was headed out the door, no matter what the reason.

Since leaving the ranch, Rebecca has dropped from her ranch weight start of 279 to 170 pounds and is running marathons. Rebecca is definitely on her way to possibly winning the runner up prize as she has become inspired to truly become the second Biggest Loser.
