Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Powell Family and Ashanti!

Tonight on ABC, Ty Pennington and Extreme Makeover Home Edition will bring us a special two-hour episode from Buffalo, New York. A community activist named Eric, and recording artist Ashanti, join the Design Team on the bus as they head out to help rebuild the home of the Powell family. A Jamaican immigrant, Dolores Powell brought her four young children to New York in search of a better life. She still helps take care of relatives back in Jamaica, as well as trying to do work on her own fixer-upper, all while volunteering tirelessly within her community. Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Cowan-Brown Family, David Cook, and Xhibit!

On the bus with Ty Pennington, the Design Team, and returning celeb, Xhibit, is a young girl named Alyssa, who contacted ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition to help get her best friend, Kori, a new house. Kori Cowan-Brown has a congenital blood disease, and met Alyssa, who had leukemia, in a blood clinic. Kori was inspired by her bff’s struggle, and has become the top youth cancer fund raiser in Indiana. The bus pulls into Bunker Hill, Indiana to check out the Cowan-Brown house, which has a huge mold issue that is a threat to Kori’s health…

Ty Pennington and the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Design Team head to St. Paul, Minnesota this week to help out Sandy Morris and her two children who take in children and provide a multicultural daycare for them and their families. The Morris home is in disrepair, and the daycare is in danger of being shut down. The Mayor recommended the family for this makeover. Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Ward Family and Mary J. Blige!

On ABC tonight, Extreme Makeover Home Edition travels to Erie, Pennsylvania where Ty Pennington and the Design Team will help the Ward Family. Mary J. Blige joined the team in Erie to assist Clara Ward, who, despite being handicapped, and living in a run-down home in a bad area, has opened her heart and home to run a nonprofit youth development and family center for children in need. Her visually-impaired son, Bennie, helps, as does her daughter Cynthia, who doesn’t live with them. In one of the most inspiring and emotional two-hour special episodes ever, the team also goes out and does mini-makeovers in the neighborhood. Also, this renovation proves extra-challenging when one of the team’s trucks carrying foundation footings and walls overturns…

On tonight’s episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, the bus heads to Clarksville Tennessee, where Ty Pennington and the team will meet the Scott Family. David Scott was killed in the line of duty while pursuing a robbery suspect, leaving his wife and three daughters to live on without him. His wife, Trina, now helps other survivors. In devoting herself to others, Trina has wound up in an unsafe home which has termites to such a degree that the foundation could give way. Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Marshall Family and Patrick Dempsey!

On ABC tonight, Ty Pennington and his design team travel to Lyme, New Hampshire to build a new Extreme Makeover Home Edition home for the Marshall Family. After moving into their home six years ago, Jay and Elena Marshall discovered carbon monoxide leaks and rotting wood. About the same time, their six year-old son, Cameron, was diagnosed with leukemia. The Marshalls established the B+ (Be Positive) Campaign to raise money and help other families handle the emotional and financial challenges created by long-term hospitalization and chronic illness. Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Stott Family and David Duchovney!

Tonight Ty Pennington and his design team, along with television celebrity David Duchovney, travel to the state of Lena, Illinois where ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition will build the Stott family a new home. Joey was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and got a bone marrow transplant in 2004, which sent the disease into remission. Philip and Joey Stott live in an old farmhouse with dangerous wiring issues, and soon after the positive medical news, they had a new problem when the house sparked, exploded, and was extremely damaged. The Stott family was nominated by Tom, who was also Joey’s donor - she has never met him…

Extreme Makeover Home Edition: The Terpenning Family and Kellie Pickler!

This week on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, the design team joins Ty Pennington, and country star Kellie Pickler and her nine year-old brother, Eric, on the bus. They’re headed to Beavercreek Ohio to visit the Terpenning family. James Terpenning is a wheelchair-bound, athlete and mentor to disabled Iraq war veterans. Crippled by polio during infancy and abandoned by his American G.I. father in Vietnam, James lives with his wife, Shannon, and their children, as well as Joe - Jame’s brother - who has cerebral palsy and is also in a wheelchair.
