More Reality TV Show Premiere Dates Announced

The year 2009 is shaping up to be a big year for reality TV. January, February, and March are packed with reality TV show premieres. Some of the returning show premieres we have already announced here at Reality TV Magazine include the American Idol 8 premiere set for January 13, the Dancing With The Stars 8 premiere set for March 8, The Biggest Loser Couples premiere set for January 6, the Bachelor 13 premiere set for January 5, and the Hell’s Kitchen 5 premiere set for January 29. Some of the new reality TV shows include Superstars of Dance which will premiere on January 4 and True Beauty which will premiere on January 5. Here are some more official premiere dates for new and returning reality TV shows.

Universal Studios Up In Smoke

A huge fire is raging at the Universal Studios outside Los Angeles.

No injuries are reported, although it is reported that the King Kong exhibit is gone as well as several sets. The fire is contained, but still burning. 200 firefighters are trying to preserve the priceless film archive.

The MTV Movie awards are scheduled at The Gibson ampitheater tonight. It’s unclear whether the show will be delayed. The awards show is to be hosted by Mike Meyers and feature the Pussycat Dolls.

Reality hit show Fear Factor is filmed at the studio, but is not currently in production.

Fear Factor Ex Factor

EX FACTOR - Former, feuding and broken-up couples must work together to win $50,000 in this week’s episode of "Fear Factor." First, the ex-couples will test their trust as they balance on a 12-inch wide beam on top of a speeding boat. One person must grab flags while holding onto a rope held by their partner.

Farm Fear Factor

FARM ‘FEAR FACTOR’ — It’s time to hit the pigsty on this week’s episode of "Fear Factor." Teams must crawl through a pigsty filled with muddy pigs. Then the teams must bob for pig parts and transfer the parts back to a bucket to stop the clock- all while fighting off the pigs.

Fear Factor Blind Date

This week on "Fear Factor," contestants must pair up with a complete stranger for the chance to win $50,000. First, one person will be weighted down underwater with over 100 pounds of weights. The partner must unclip 17 weights and free them before the air supply runs out. Then, each of the couples will have to eat disgusting picnic foods, including fly shakes, worm-stuffed hotdogs and rotten tuna fish sandwiches.

Disaster Fear Factor

In an all-new episode of "Fear Factor," contestants will not just compete against each other but also against Mother Nature. In the first stunt, contestants must balance on a tiny ledge over 100 feet in the air all while being blasted by hurricane rains and wind. Then, the pairs will have to bob for the only bugs that can survive a nuclear explosion- Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches - and then eat them.
