Ghost Hunters International’s first season isn’t over yet. The hit spin-off of SCI FI’s Ghost Hunters series will be returning to the SCI FI Channel with seven brand new episodes this summer. The new episodes will start airing on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 9 PM ET.
When Ghost Hunters International originally debuted in January of 2008, it premiered as the highest-rated reality TV telecast in the history of the SCI FI Channel. During its initial seven episodes, the series averaged over two million total viewers.
Ghost Hunters International follows a team of real-life ghost hunters. The ghost hunters are just regular people who investigate claims of otherworldly activity. While the original Ghost Hunters series tends to focus on haunts in the United States, Ghost Hunters International travels the world to check out supernatural claims.
During the winter run of the series, Ghost Hunters International investigated Chillingham Castle in England and the forgotten underground city of Mary King’s Close in Scotland. During the upcoming summer run of the series, Ghost Hunters International will travel throughout Europe and will also visit New Zealand and South Africa.
