Project Runway Ends The Season With A Worthy Winner

Project Runway comes to a bittersweet end tonight as we crown a winner of Season 6, the first on the Lifetime Network and probably one of the best seasons to date. Designers, Irina, the strongest of the three designers based on the amount of challenges won alone and the odds on favorite to win it all, Carol Hannah, who has had several very surprising moments and Althea, who was probably the shakiest of the three coming into the finale, battle it out for who walks away with the fame and fortune of being the winner of Project Runway.

Project Runway: Part One of the Season Finale

Project Runway gives us the first of the two-part season finale this week. While there will be no elimination to speak of, we will get a glimpse into the collections of Althea, Carol Hannah and Irina from the Master of Style himself, Tim Gunn, as we see who is bearing up better under the pressure. Based on the tenor of the season-to-date, Irina will be slightly cooler than the other two, Carol Hannah will be the most stressed, leaving Althea somewhere in the middle as a muddled mess.

Project Runway: The Top Three Are Chosen For Fashion Week

Project Runway has narrowed it down to the final five in Gordana, Irina, Carol Hannah, Althea and the male standout, Christopher, being the surprise among the group. While the females have definitely been the stronger designers this season, you have got to admit that the men have kept it interesting, if nothing else but with the generous running commentaries they were know for. Come to think of it, Christopher was the only male who didn’t seem to have a running commentary about the other designers and look where he is. Go figure. I guess he spent more time concentrating on his designs instead of running his mouth.

Project Runway becomes Project Cut-throat as friendships are sheared like fabric on the workroom floor. Hype aside, you have got to love the promos for the show when Lifetime announces that “Friendships will be broken” as if anyone of them are there to become friends. If nothing else, we will wade through the hype to see if the episode truly does deliver the drama promised us.
