Amazing Race season premiere starts tonight, and the Emmy winning show has upped the ante to $2 million bucks for the winning team. What else can we expect in season 21? Well, Phil Keoghan says this is the most eclectic cast yet!
The Amazing Race deserves its own Emmy category, because without fail (okay, there was one fail in 2010, but we’ll disregard that) the show has consistently dominated the category for Outstanding Reality-Competition. This year, Amazing Race continues its long winning streak with yet another Emmy!
annoyed the crap out of us won CBS‘ Big Brother, and then she and Brendon Villegas went on to finish in third place last season on The Amazing Race. Now, Rachel and Brendon have some more exciting news to share – they are officially married, and we’ll get to watch the wedding!
After 20 seasons, we recently learned that The Amazing Race will be changing things in the new season, and upping the prize from $1 million to a cool $2 million for the winning team. After 20 seasons, there is a massive change coming to The Amazing Race. For the first time in the show’s long-running history, the grand prize has doubled from $1 million to $2 million. Talk about motivation! This means each person on the winning team will pad their wealth with a cool $1 million. Although this has not yet been made official by CBS, there is a video posted on the network’s YouTube page that shows host Phil Keoghan at the starting line revealing the massive cash prize at the final finish line. That’s confirmation enough for me! The preview also offers a first glimpse of the new cast and some of the challenges they will be taking on throughout the worldwide competition.

Just seems very strange to me, especially considering the other nominees who were put up in his place — several of them being losers to Probst in previous years. So who is up for the award this year since Probst has been booted from the battle? Read on to find out!
