Survivor: Caramoan Recap — Two Tribal Councils, Double Eliminations

Why couldn’t the first half of this season be as good as the second half? Seriously, this season has been absolutely stellar since the merge. Tonight’s episode of Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites was a jam-packed hour with two Immunity challenges, a pair of Tribal Councils and the remaining eight castaways were whittled down to the final six. If that wasn’t enough, trust within the group began to dwindle and Erik made the same, silly-ass move he did during season 16 by giving away Immunity. Yep! He did it again!

Survivor: Caramoan Interview — Malcolm Freberg Says He Originally Wanted To Be A Villain

Malcolm Freberg is definitely the fan-favorite castaway on Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites. After making major strategic (and entertaining!) moves this season, Malcolm, much to everybody’s disappointment, was voted out of the game when he couldn’t find another hidden Immunity Idol to save himself. But this adored, long-haired dude never planned on being so loved by fans. Not at all. Instead, Malcolm tells RealityTVMagazine that he initially planned on being a villain. Can you imagine Malcolm as a villain? I sure can’t! In an exit interview with reporters today, Malcolm also revealed why he actually quit digging for the hidden Immunity Idol and explained that he never intended on playing both Idols the night Phillip Sheppard was voted out of the game. What else did Malcolm have to say? Does he still chat with his Denise Stapley, his main ally who won Survivor: Philippines? Would he play the game again? Dig in and find out!

Survivor: Caramoan Recap — Auction Spurs Same Bidding Mistakes

Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites just keeps getting better. After a rather lackluster first half, this season really picked up steam after the merge with some of the most fascinating strategies and moves the game has ever seen. After Phillip fell victim to Malcolm’s bold Idol play during the previous Tribal Council, there were a slew of mixed emotions back at camp. Many jokingly found themselves elated that the “Stealth-R-Us” nonsense was dead, while others — especially Brenda — were completely down in the dumps especially with no food. Thankfully, the Survivor auction arrived just in time. One of my favorite elements. Too bad the auction brought repeated fatal mistakes.

Survivor: Caramoan Interview — Phillip Sheppard Calls Malcolm Freberg’s Double Idol Play ‘Foolish’

Each week after a castaway is voted off Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites, the eliminated contestant spends the following day doing countless interviews with various media outlets. For these interviews, I have primarily been part of interviewing each booted castaway in a conference call in which multiple reporters participate by firing a series of questions. We’re given 30 minutes to pepper them with as many inquiries we can possibly fit in. This week, when it came time to interview Phillip Sheppard, our conference call crew barely squeezed in any questions because the self-proclaimed special agent answered everything in his predictably frustrating long-winded fashion. In many of his responses, Phillip referenced his displeasure with Malcolm, labeling his decision to play two hidden Idols as foolish. After discussing his “Stealth-R-Us” strategy and modeling his gameplay based on what he learned from Boston Rob, Phillip said he’s not done with reality television. According to Phillip, he claims he might be a potential love interest on an upcoming show. Yes. You read that right. What else did his chatter go? Survivor: Caramoan Recap — A Shocking Tribal Council

The promos for this week’s episode of Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites repeatedly teased that we would see one of the most shocking Tribal Councils in the show’s history. Jeff Probst promised on Twitter that this would be a “great episode” with “all kinds of things going on” before labeling it as “one of the best of the season!” Did all the hype live up to the moment?
