Something happened on tonight’s episode of Survivor: San Juan Del Sur that hasn’t taken place since season two.  Just like in Australia, the Hunahpu tribe was forced to sacrifice their camp — including some of their tools, tarp and pillows — in exchange for extra food.  It was a stiff penalty as a result of their poor rationing, but Hunahpu didn’t hesitate at all.  ”There has never been a tribe in the history of Survivor that has needed as much help as you guys have and only 14 days in,” Jeff Probst told the tribe before they tore camp down.  That moment was just a morsel of the gooey goodness dished out.  See what else went down and who was voted off inside this recap…

Kelley Wentworth lifted the veil on tidbits about Survivor: San Juan Del Sur we haven’t seen at this point. In our exit interview, Kelley revealed that Missy was a major problem at camp before explaining the real reason she was targeted at Tribal Council. Kelley also took off the gloves and said Baylor has daddy issues before discussing who she thinks is the most underrated player left in the competition. Kelley was a fantastic interview and didn’t hold anything back. Enjoy!

Drop your Buffs!  The expected tribal swap arrived tonight with mixed emotions on Survivor: San Juan Del Sur.  Some were concerned that playing with their loved one would make them bigger targets.  Naturally, lots of loved ones ended up paired with their significant other.  But the most significant element from this episode involved the food situation at one tribe.

Survivor: San Juan Del Sur Interview — Drew Christy Says He Got An Unfair “Dumbass” Edit

October 16, 2014 02:19:55 by Ryan Haidet

Drew Christy described himself as a “genius” who was manipulating his fellow castaways on Survivor: San Juan Del Sur.  Trouble is, Drew, a model, purposely lost an Immunity challenge and it bit him in the butt big time.  In my interview with Drew, he told me that he was given an unfair edit that made him look like the dumb surfer guy, but also admitted to being delusional during his time on the show.  More interestingly, Drew said he had no idea Kelley was standing right behind him as he strategized with others to vote her off and didn’t realize her proximity to them until he watched the episode.  But, Drew also feels she may have been edited to make it look as if Kelley were standing right there when she really wasn’t.  What else did he have to say?  Dive in to find out!

Survivor: San Juan Del Sur Recap — An Obvious Outcome

October 15, 2014 06:17:58 by Ryan Haidet

tribes-compete-in-immunity-challenge-survivor-san-juan-del-sur-cbs

I’ve had mixed feelings about Survivor: San Juan Del Sur thus far.  While I loved the premiere and I thought last week’s episode where John Rocker was voted out of the game, I found nothing shocking or thrilling about this latest hour.  It just didn’t feel fun.  It felt, well, stupid.  Too much focus was pushed on Drew’s nonsense and silly self praise about his “genius” manipulation that I just couldn’t wait for him to be booted out of the game.  Did my hopes come true?  Read on to find out…

Survivor: San Juan Del Sur Interview — John Rocker Would Have Given His Idol Away

October 9, 2014 03:00:10 by Ryan Haidet

John Rocker wasn’t on Survivor: San Juan Del Sur for long, but his big personality left a giant imprint on the first three episodes.  The former Major League Baseball star couldn’t hide his identity or controversial past from the rest of the castaways as he was quickly recognized by multiple people in the game.  After he was voted out, we had a moment to chat with Rocker about why he didn’t play his Idol.  He also explained that he would have given his Idol to Val to prove his word to Jeremy and expressed his thoughts on Natalie’s vulgar attacks.

“I did everything I could, brother. I swear to you.”  Those words from John Rocker about trying to keep his word to spare Val was the start of bitter feelings that bubbled to the top on tonight’s Survivor: San Juan Del Sur.  Jeremy didn’t feel Rocker held true to his promise whatsoever in working to keep his wife safe.  It quickly became Jeremy’s goal to get Rocker out of the game as soon as possible.  Did it work?

I thought her lie of having found two hidden Idols was so bad that nobody would ever believe it.  But Val Collins, the second person voted off Survivor: San Juan Del Sur, says her tribe definitely bought her lie to some extent.  Plus, Val tells us why Tony Vlachos, the winner of last season’s Survivor: Cagayan, was always in her strategic mind.  Dive inside for the full interview!

Survivor: San Juan Del Sur Recap — Pain, Blood, Tears & Lies

October 1, 2014 06:27:45 by Ryan Haidet

Wow!  That was one hell of an Immunity challenge!  Seriously!  That was exciting stuff to watch.  Drama.  Tension.  Emotions.  Tears.  Blood.  Just take a look at that photo above!  A true mashup of the “Blood Vs. Water” theme on Survivor: San Juan Del Sur.  It was, without question, the best part of this episode that saw some of the worst lies I’ve ever seen on the show.  Who is the bad liar?  Who was voted off?  It’s all inside…
