Last fall, we watched the very controversial series, Breaking Amish on TLC, which left many viewers calling out the show as fake. Despite all the controversy surrounding the show, TLC has renewed it for season two – and get this, we’ll even get a spin-off as well!
After last week’s season finale of Breaking Amish, TLC aired part one of Breaking Amish: The Shunning Truth. Hosted by Michelle Beadle, the first hour was fairly tame, focusing mostly on Sabrina, Abe, Rebecca, Jeremiah, and Kate‘s time in New York City and what has happened since they’ve gone home. This hour, however, deals with the lies and deceptions that led to many calling the show Faking Amish.
Just when you think the reality world has covered it all, a new show comes out and completely destroys your expectations. Such was the case with Breaking Amish, the hit show about a group of five young Amish men and women setting out to explore the world. Following the huge success of Breaking Amish, the Discovery Channel is now releasing its own show about the Amish world.
TLC’s hit show; Breaking Amish has been full of secrets and surprises this season. But there’s one question everybody is buzzing about; is Abe the father of Rebecca’s 19-month-old daughter? Take the jump to get the details.
Immediately following the season finale of Breaking Amish, TLC aired part one of the reunion special, Breaking Amish: The Shunning Truth. Will our burning questions surrounding Sabrina, Abe, Rebecca, Jeremiah, and Kate‘s lives and TLC‘s deceptions finally be answered?
The season finale of TLC‘s Breaking Amish begins right where they left off in Atlantic City, where Jeremiah and Sabrina brought Abe and Rebecca for a bachelor/bachelorette party. Abe and Rebecca get upset when a stripper joins the party. They leave the hotel room, Jeremiah follows, and the stripper is all like, who else wants to have some fun?
Last week on Breaking Amish, Abe, Rebecca, Kate, and Jeremiah returned to their Amish communities only to be shunned by their friends and families. According to Sabrina, her Mennonite parents weren’t too hard on her because they lied to her about how she came to be adopted. This week, Jeremiah and Sabrina bring everyone to Atlantic City for some pre-wedding fun.
We love to hate Jeremiah Raber, don’t we? The Breaking Amish cast member has come under scrutiny lately after his ex-wife, Naomi Stutzman, spoke out to CBS 21 about their violent relationship. She stated that TLC had offered her “Anything she wanted” in return for her silence on the matter, but it seems that TLC’s offer wasn’t enough. Even though her willingness to talk was short lived, she did manage to talk to the station by phone. Jeremiah Raber has also posted on Facebook about the matter, even releasing police reports to clear his name.
Just a few weeks ago we dished to you all the gory details that the Breaking Amish producers didn’t want anyone to know. They obviously have received enough criticism from fans to address the issues, and have planned a two part reunion special set to air in November. There are a few clips surfacing that show the Breaking Amish crew hinting at answering a few of our burning questions.
It’s decision time for the cast of Breaking Amish. While in New York City, the cast got drunk, learned about coffee makers and alarm clocks, got drunk, bought new clothes, got drunk, learned how to pole dance, and got drunk. The TLC-paid-for
bar hop journey has come to an end, so Kate, Sabrina, Jeremiah, Rebecca, and Abe must decide whether they will return to their Amish and Mennonite communities or continue to explore the world on their own.
